La Calera’s finishes, architecture and design were inspired by the history of Mexico and the great heritage of the Yucatán which offers residents a unique and outstanding experience.
The five houses combine the elements of contemporary living, elegant design, and the rich culture of the area. Comfort and elegance are on display in this awe inspiring development which infuses the sun, water and nature of Tulum into its spacious homes.
The name La Calera has a strong connection with stone, which can be seen on both the interior and exterior.
La Calera were ovens used in the Old World to produce chalk or “Caliza.” It also referred to the towns that ex- tracted stone, where everything is made from the stone. The houses in this development are built on the ground floor with the beautiful white limestone extracted from the area, and on the first floor with white chucum remi- niscent of the white painted houses of the Mediterranean.
